In late 2020, ECS acquired the Granada Hotel via a State of California Project Homekey funding award of nearly $45 million to ECS and the City of San Francisco. The Granada, currently under renovation, is a 212-unit permanent housing site for formerly homeless adults. The nine-story former hotel and senior residence provides single and double-occupancy units. Once construction is completed, the building will feature many fully renovated communal spaces including: a large lobby, community room, dining hall, kitchen, and staff offices. Granada residents receive support from ECS’s dedicated team of case managers and clinicians to retain their housing while building community and pursuing increasingly healthy and independent lives.
