Casa-Esperanza---house (1)

Casa Esperanza is a 51-unit Permanent Supportive Housing site
located at 1818 El Camino Real in Redwood City. Originally a
Comfort Inn hotel, the site opened in early 2023 and was funded
through Project Homekey. It currently serves families and
individuals who are formerly homeless.

In 2024, Episcopal Community Services (ECS) was asked to take
over operations of the building by the County of San Mateo.

Each resident is assigned a case manager and has access to
on-site support services that help strengthen stability and
well-being. The building is ECS’ first program in San Mateo
County. It also marks the launch of ECS’ property management
portfolio, in addition to support services.
