Help End Homelessness—Make a Financial Donation
Episcopal Community Services relies on the support of individual donors to help more than 7,000 San Franciscans leave homelessness behind each year.
Your donation helps us provide hot lunches for seniors, books for students enrolled in our GED program, a warm bed for guests in our emergency shelter, case management for residents struggling with mental and physical illnesses, and a home for a family without one.
Below are just a few of the ways you can help make an impact on low-income and homeless individuals and families in our community:
Gift of Cash
Click here to donate online or mail your donation directly to our main address:
Attn: Development Dept.
Episcopal Community Services
165 Eighth Street, 3rd Floor
San Francisco, CA 94103
Every dollar you donate is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Our tax ID number is 94-3096716.
Matching-gift Programs at Work
Corporate matching gift programs give employees an opportunity to increase the impact of their gifts by doubling or even tripling their tax-deductible contributions. Please contact your Human Resources Department for details.
United Way Donor Designation
Remember us during your employer's annual United Way Fund Drive. You may designate Episcopal Community Services of San Francisco as the recipient of your donation; simply write our name and address on your pledge form.
(We’re also happy to come and talk to your office about the wonderful work we do.)
Combined Federal Campaign
If you are a federal employee or in the military, you can designate Episcopal Community Services as your charity of choice. Our CFC charity number is 29073.
Gift of Stock
You may reduce your tax on the gain of stocks, bonds, and other securities by donating them to Episcopal Community Services of San Francisco. When you make a gift of appreciated securities, it generally not only qualifies for an income-tax deduction, but also avoids long-term capital gains tax. Contact the Director of Development at (415) 487-3300 x1241. For more information, click here.
Gifts of Real Estate
A gift of real estate may enable you to avoid capital gains tax on your profit while you earn a tax deduction for the full market-value of the property.
Gifts of Life Insurance
You may make a gift to Episcopal Community Services by designating us as the beneficiary on your life-insurance policy.
